Buoyant stretch "floating-on-air" suspension cushions torso with optimal tension, prevents spine compression; bounces back almost instantly when weight is lifted, no springs to squeak, rust, break or flatten.

B Infinitely Adjustable Air Lumbar
Pump it up to cushion back and maintain proper spine alignment while writing, computing, meeting, phoning and monitoring.

C Knee Tilt Control and Waterfall Front
Forward pivot point for knee action eliminates any vertical knee strain while tilting, allowing freedome of movement. Natural curvature of frame, combined with Dymetrol Suspension, helps prevent compression of leg nerves and promotes optimal circulation in every sitting position.

HISTORY

In the late 1980s, a polic officer who suffered from back problems, designed and produced rough sketches of a new, innovative vehicle seat that helped relieve back problems. From there, the police officer, in combination with renowned Wisconsin industrial designer Brooks Stevens Design firm, took on the project and finessed the design. The Brooks Stevens Design firm is also known for designs including Hiawatha Train (1946), Excalibur Sports Car (1964) and the Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile (1958). Concept Seating designs have also been influenced by the innovative research presented by Alvin R. Tilley and Henry Dreyfuss and Associates in The Measure of Man and Woman. The book remains an tool for those designing products to accommodate the human form. One year later, Concept Seating opened its doors.

In 1995, Concept Seating expanded its line with the development of the 24/7 Intensive Use chairs. The company now serves industries that needs chairs for dispatch and call centers, heavy duty usage, big and tall seating, monitoring stations and other occupations requiring long sedentary periods.
